Winding Engine DriverAbout the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Winding Engine Driver to join our mining operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mine winders, ensuring the secure transport of personnel, materials, and ore in compliance with all DMRE and MHSA regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate AC/DC Koepe or drum winders according to legal and site proceduresConduct pre-operational checks, safety tests, and equipment inspectionsMonitor winder performance, including speed, braking systems, depth indicators, and load conditionsMaintain clear communication with banksmen, onsetters, and shaft personnelRecord accurate logbook entries and operational dataReport equipment faults, abnormalities, and safety concerns immediatelyParticipate in safety meetings, audits, and compliance inspectionsUphold all SHEQ standards and contribute to a zero-harm environmentMinimum RequirementsGrade 11 / NQF Level 4Valid Winding Engine Driver Certificate issued by the DMREMinimum 10 years' experience operating Koepe or drum windersMust have operated a winder within the last 2 yearsStrong understanding of MHSA and shaft signaling systemsClear criminal recordCompetencies and AttributesHigh attention to detailStrong situational awarenessExcellent communication skillsSafety-driven mindsetAbility to remain calm under pressureReliable and disciplinedCommunication will be limited to short listed candidates.No cv's/applications accepted on WhatsApp or email.
